economias de navieras al compartir naves en alianzas; en este caso se trata de
5 navieras grandes aliándose en servicio de la Costa Oeste Sudamericana hacia
el Asia, reduciendo numero de naves y creciendo en tamaño de naves:

Far East-Mexico-WCSA service to meet increased demand volumes due to the
Southern Hemisphere fruit export season.
In November 2011, the alliance of Hamburg Sud, CCNI,
Hanjin Shipping, Hyundai Merchant Marine and China Shipping reduced the three
loops they previously offered to one and cut back on vessel size from overall
weekly vessel capacity of 9,500 during slow season.
They will restore the loops, but boost overall weekly
capacity to 11,000 TEU.
Sling 1 will have the following rotation: Busan,
Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen-Yantian, Hong Kong, Busan, Manzanillo (Mex), Balboa,
Buenaventura, Guayaquil, Puerto Angamos (Mejillones), Valparaiso, San Vicente,
Manzanillo(Mex) and back to Busan. It will deploy 11 ships in the 4,250 to
5,500 TEU range operated by Hamburg Sud.
Port rotation for Sling 2 will be: Keelung, Hong Kong,
Shenzhen-Shekou, Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Manzanillo (Mex), Lazaro
Cardenas, Callao, Iquique, Puerto Angamos (Mejillones), Valparaiso and back to
Keelung. It will deploy 11 ships in the 4,250 to 5,500 TEU range replacing 10
vessels of 3,400-4,600 TEU by all carriers except Hamburg Sud.
