UNCTAD rebrands to 'UN Trade and Development'


The strategic move underscores the organization's commitment to greater impact, with a new, clearer visual identity aiming to better reflect its work and values and to amplify its voice on behalf of developing countries.

 

 

Global Supply Chain Forum 2024
 

UNCTAD and the Government of Barbados have joined forces to organize the inaugural Global Supply Chain Forum at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre in Bridgetown, Barbados from 21 to 24 May 2024. This groundbreaking event will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts from around the world to discuss and address the challenges and opportunities in global supply chain management.

 

 

 

Supply Chain Innovation Challenge: Award Ceremony


From 17th January to 17th March 2024, UNCTAD held its first Supply Chain Innovation Challenge. We received 77 inspiring proposals. At the Award ceremony on 19th April at 4p.m. GMT+2, six finalists will present their proposals and then a winner will be announced. What is the award? A chance to join UNCTAD in Barbados and present the innovative proposal at the first UN Global Supply Chain Forum.

 

 

 

UNCTAD's 60th anniversary 2024
 

UNCTAD is celebrating its 60th anniversary on June 12-13, 2024, themed "Charting a New Course for Development in a Changing World,". It aims to address challenges like widening inequalities, climate threats, and inclusive recovery. The forum, opened by the UN Secretary-General, will gather global leaders and experts to discuss innovative strategies for sustainable development, focusing on trade, finance, technology, and investment. Emphasis will be on UNCTAD's integrated approach and addressing the needs of developing countries, including the least developed, small island, and landlocked nations.
